Tumile live · watch, chat, call
Watch first. Talk when you're ready.
Live rooms on TumileChat put one person on camera and let you ease in: listen, type along with translation, swipe to someone new, or ask for a private call.

Stranger chat, with the pressure turned down
In a random match you are on camera with a stranger from the first second. Live video chat on TumileChat works the other way round. One person is on camera, you arrive quietly, and you decide how involved you want to be. You can sit back and listen, drop a line in the chat, or stay long enough to feel like a regular.
Many people find that a gentler way in. You get to hear how someone talks and what they laugh at before you ever turn your own camera on. Tumile live is the same stranger chat idea, just with a warm-up built in.
It also suits the evenings when you want company more than conversation. Leave a room playing while you cook, chip in when something makes you laugh, and move on when you feel like it. Nobody expects you to perform.
Finding a room takes one tap
Open the online list and switch to the Live section. Each card is a person broadcasting right now. Tap a card and you are inside the room, watching and hearing them in real time. There is no invitation to wait for and no form to fill in first.
If the room is not for you, swipe up or down and the next live person slides in. It feels a lot like skipping in random chat, except nobody on the other side has to watch you leave.
Say something, in any language
Everything you type lands in the room chat, where the person on camera and everyone else watching can read it. The crowd in a live room is usually mixed, so messages come in from all over. Tap translate on any of them and it switches to your language, so you can keep up with a room where nobody shares your first language. The guide to chatting with translation has tips for keeping those exchanges easy.
Keep it friendly and on topic. Every room has a report option, and anyone who spams or harasses can be removed.
Your first few minutes in a room
Live rooms have their own rhythm, and it takes a moment to catch it. A little patience goes a long way:
- Watch for a minute before typing. You will pick up what the room is talking about and who the regulars are.
- Greet the person on camera by name. It is shown on screen, and people notice when you use it.
- Ask something they can answer out loud. Open questions travel better than one-word replies in a busy chat.
- Follow people you enjoy so they are easy to find next time they go live.
- If the mood is off or the chat is moving too fast, swipe on. There is always another room.
From the room to a private call
Sometimes a few messages are enough to know you want an actual conversation. From inside the room you can start a private 1v1 video call with that person without leaving the app or hunting for their profile. The call goes to them directly, and once it connects you are talking face to face with nobody else watching.
Private calls use coins, and TumileChat checks your balance before connecting. When it falls short, a top-up prompt shows up before anything connects, and no call is billed halfway through. The page on the Tumile video call explains how private calls differ from random matches.
The parts that cost coins
Watching and chatting in an open room is free. A few things use coins: gifts you send to show appreciation (some rooms offer a free gift now and then), the wheel that appears in certain rooms, and rooms whose door opens only with a ticket, a follow or a paid membership. Gifts ask you to confirm before they go. The breakdown of what coins pay for covers the rest.
